Terms of Service

The present Terms of Service (ToS) govern the access and use of the Glyph Master software, its website, and its cloud service for animation sharing.
1. Purpose
These Terms of Service (hereinafter "ToS") govern the access and use of:
- the Glyph Master software (server, game master screen, player screen, control panel);
- the website glyph-master.com;
- the cloud service for hosting and sharing animations, media, and game boards;
- any compatible extensions and integrations.
By using Glyph Master, the user fully and unreservedly accepts these ToS.
2. Nature of Service: Third-Party Content Hosting
Glyph Master provides:
- local software installed on the user's computer;
- a cloud service for hosting and sharing user-generated content (UGC).
Glyph Master acts as a content host, benefiting from the following liability limitations:
- France: LCEN (Law on Trust in the Digital Economy);
- European Union: Digital Services Act (DSA);
- United States: DMCA Safe Harbor;
- Canada: Copyright Act - "Notice-and-Notice" regime;
- Australia: Copyright Act 1968 - Safe Harbour Scheme;
- United Kingdom: E-Commerce Regulations (post-Brexit);
- Japan: Provider Liability Limitation Act (Notice & Takedown);
- New Zealand: Copyright Act 1994 - Safe Harbour.
As such, Glyph Master:
- exercises no prior editorial control over uploaded content;
- is not liable a priori for hosted content;
- will promptly remove any manifestly illicit content reported in accordance with the procedure described below;
- will cooperate with competent authorities as required by applicable law.
3. User Accounts and Licenses
Creating an account on https://glyph-master.com is required to use the software and access the cloud service.
A 100-day Free Trial license is provided with each new account, subject to the limitations indicated on the website. A single account cannot be used simultaneously on multiple computers.
4. User-Generated Content
4.1 User Responsibility
The user is solely responsible for the content they create, import, share, or make available via the cloud service, including:
- images, videos, music, sound effects, texts, animations, and third-party extensions.
The user warrants that they hold all necessary rights (copyrights, licenses, neighboring rights, image rights, etc.) to distribute such content.
4.2 Prohibited Content
It is strictly forbidden to upload content that is:
- copyrighted without authorization;
- violent, hateful, discriminatory, or illegal;
- containing personal data of third parties without a legal basis;
- infringing on privacy or the rights of third parties;
- dangerous or inciting illegal activities.
4.3 Content Classification
Users are required to accurately classify all uploaded content by assigning an appropriate audience rating and content advisory tags that reflect the nature of the files. Glyph Master reserves the right to review, update, or unilaterally modify any classification assigned by the User if it is deemed inaccurate or inconsistent with our platform standards, without prior notice or appeal. Repeated failure to comply with these classification requirements may result in the restriction, suspension, or termination of the User's account.
4.4 Downloads and Offline Use
When a user downloads content from the cloud service:
- the local copy exits Glyph Master's control;
- Glyph Master cannot delete copies already downloaded;
- offline usage remains exclusively the user's responsibility.
Glyph Master can only act on the availability of content on its platform, not on copies existing on users' devices.
5. Takedown and Reporting Procedure
Any person who believes that content hosted via Glyph Master infringes upon their rights may report it to the publisher of Glyph Master. Glyph Master provides simple tools to report any illicit content or content that infringes upon your rights.
You can make a report:
- Via our dedicated form: accessible at the address Report illicit content.
- Directly from the content pages: every page displaying shared content features a built-in report button to facilitate quick action.
The notification must include at a minimum:
- the URL or identifier of the content concerned;
- a description of the alleged infringement;
- the complainant's full contact details;
- a sworn statement regarding the accuracy of the information provided.
In accordance with applicable laws, Glyph Master commits to processing notifications as follows:
- France / EU: prompt removal of manifestly illicit content (LCEN / DSA);
- USA: DMCA procedure (takedown and, where applicable, counter-notification);
- Canada: forwarding the notification to the concerned user (Notice-and-Notice);
- Australia / UK / Japan / New Zealand: rapid removal in accordance with their respective Safe Harbour / E-Commerce frameworks.
Glyph Master reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in the event of repeated or manifest violations of copyright or these ToS.
6. Local Data and Privacy
Glyph Master does not store local game data (boards, animations, media, configurations) on its servers. Such data is stored solely on the user's computer, in the directory configured during installation.
The cloud service only stores content explicitly uploaded by the user for sharing purposes.
The user is responsible for:
- backing up local data;
- protecting their computer environment;
- correctly configuring storage directories.
Glyph Master shall not be held liable for any loss, corruption, or deletion of local data.
7. Extensions and Third-Party Integrations
Glyph Master allows the use of extensions and integrations, including but not limited to:
- image, video, or website display;
- window, overlay, and visual transition management;
- background music and sound effects;
- DMX and IoT equipment control;
- combat and encounter management;
- external tool integration (e.g., StreamDeck).
The user is solely responsible for compliance with electrical safety standards and any applicable local regulations regarding third-party integrations.
Glyph Master does not guarantee the functionality of third-party extensions not developed by COMBALAFRA and shall not be liable for damages resulting from their use.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Glyph Master shall not be held liable for:
- content uploaded by users;
- copies of content downloaded and used offline;
- damages resulting from the use of extensions or external equipment;
- service interruptions, bugs, or data loss;
- integrations via API or third-party tools.
9. Suspension and Account Deletion
Glyph Master reserves the right to suspend or delete a user account without notice in the event of:
- violation of these ToS;
- non-compliance with copyright or intellectual property rights;
- abusive, fraudulent, or malicious use;
- repeated and substantiated reports of illicit content.
10. Modifications to the ToS
Glyph Master may modify these ToS at any time to reflect changes in services, applicable laws, or best practices.
Users will be notified of changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new ToS.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
In the event of a dispute, and unless otherwise provided by mandatory law, the competent courts shall be those of the jurisdiction where Glyph Master’s registered office is located.
